To change or not to change my nose stud?

I had this unsightly lump that I tried for ages to get rid of and NOTHING would fix it, then I put vitamin E oil on it and bam, gone it 2 days. It's been a week since, and I got it pierced in march, march 8th to be exact, can I deem it acceptable to change my stud? Because I made the mistake of agreeing for the sake of agreeing with my piercer when he asked if this was a reasonable color to have (dark purple) well, it looks like a blackhead. I waned your cliche clear rhinestone. Should I wait longer? If so what time frame am I looking at? I don't want a black-head looking stud for my senior pictures :P
