I'm confused and need your help?

My husband and I have this guy friend for about 9 years. Him and I always clicked. He doesn't think much of my husband as my husband is a good guy but very lazy and has his own issues. Well, needless to say I always felt different around my friend. I don't know why, like something is different. We've always been great friends but when I saw him about couple of weeks ago he sad some weird things about my husband, and hw my husband would leave me if I don't make money and that he doesn't think of my husband as his friend. I was personally surprised as I would think guy to a guy would not do that. Next thing you know he calls my husband almost every other day and asks about me. Then gave him work. Minded my friend is ambitious so am I. Last night though he had an option to go home to his town, but no, he went ahead and bought super expensive drinks and was waiting for me to come in town. He told my husband we gonna party. As usual my husband went to bed at 9pm. Our friend kept me up till 6am with various BS, watched movies with me, had chat about anything I waned to talk. I literally fell a sleep on the couch talking to him so did he. Through out the night he said some things as if he is not attracted to me so it's great we can talk. I would like to believe in that but I'm really spooked. Maybe I'm overreacting but just wondering what other people think?
